HOW TO CLEAN YOUR JEWELRY

            Gold and Diamond jewelry :
Use mild dish washing soap (not detergent) mixed in luke warm water and a soft             tooth brush or a makeup brush to clean your jewelry, make sure you clean the       underside of your jewelry  ( and the underside of your gemstones) as the      underside attracts a lot of dirt, grime, and skin oil, making the jewelry  and             gemstones loose their shine.

Pearl jewelry  and jewelry  made of Emeralds and other softer gemstones:
Do not use any detergent to clean such jewelry. Only use luke warm water and a            soft brush to clean such jewelry. If you are wearing your pearl strand on a daily basis, get it restrung at least once a year.

NOTE: Always remember to wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry, white, cotton cloth before storing your jewelry.

About Rhodium Plating.

Rhodium is a member of the platinum group as a matter of fact Rhodium is the rarest of the platinum group metals. Like gold it is also a noble metal. It is a one of the rarest metal having a silvery white appearance. Some of its physical properties like it hardness, chemical innertness and corrosion ressistance make it ideal for use in coating jewelry pieces. Rhodium plating is commonly performed as one of the final steps in making of fine jewelry . As it imparts an impressive white shiny finish to the jewelry. The white shiny finish of Rhodium is so good that even white gold jewelry receives a coat of Rhodium plating as a routine.

Even though Rhodium is Corrosion resistant (which means there will be no surface discoloration over time) and very very durable, it can fade when the jewelry article is worn on a daily basis. Don’t worry, your jewelry  can easily be re-plated with a fresh coat of Rhodium plating and it will start looking like new.
